Pope Benedict XVI accepted Wednesday Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s invitation to visit Israel.
“I receive many invitations for visits, but Israel is high on my priority list,” he told Communications Minister Dalia Itzik, who presented the pope with a stamp Israel has issued in commemoration of Pope John Paul II and a personal letter from Sharon. (Yossi Bar)
