Three British prisoners jailed in Egypt for promoting the goals of an Islamist group went on hunger strike after one was threatened by a prison official, the mother of one of the prisoners said on Wednesday.
The Britons were among a group of 26 men jailed in March 2004 for between one and five years for spreading the propaganda of Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami (The Islamic Liberation Party). (Reuters)
