Italy rejects torture extradition charge
Italy has rejected allegations it authorized the 2003 kidnapping in Milan of a Muslim terror suspect. Italian prosecutors believe the SISMI military secret service authorized the abduction of cleric Hassan Mustafa Osama Nasr, also known as Abu Omar, on Feb. 17, 2003, and say they have evidence he was tortured by Egyptian authorities during questioning there.
