Foreign Minister Shalom: Europeans legitimizing Hamas

Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom responded today to an increase in European voices calling for dialogue with Hamas.

“Every European or other source must understand that he is talking to an organization whose entire existence is dedicated to the destruction of the State of Israel. By talking with Hamas, one legitimizes it.” Shalom made the statement during a meeting with his Romanian counterpart, Mihai Ongoriano, in Jerusalem. (Diana Bahur-Nir)
