Mofaz: Strip closure meant to save lives
Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said the intent of closing off the Gaza Strip was to differentiate between residents and outside agitators who have been acting against security forces, but was not meant to stifle legitimate protest. He instructed soldiers to act as gently as possible, particularly with regard to women and children. (Hanan Greenberg)
