The Yesha Council slammed Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz on Monday, saying his orders for troops to forcibly collect weapons from settlers ahead of a Gaza pullout "de-legitimizes" the 8,500 settlers in Gaza, who live among in guarded enclaves among 1.3 Palestinians, and would "endanger those who keep them for self-defense."
