Al-Sadr: Desecrate U.S., Israeli flags
Muqtada al-Sadr, an anti-U.S. Shiite cleric, called on fellow Muslims to paint Israeli and American flags on the ground in front of mosques so people could step on them to protest raids against holy places.
On Tuesday, U.S. and Iraqi forces detained 13 of al-Sadr's supporters in a raid on a Shiite mosque in Mahmoudiya, about 30 kilometers (20 miles) south of Baghdad. (AP)
