Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas said armed Palestinian organizations are participating in democratic reforms and the Mideast peace process, including a parliamentary election set for July. Asked why he has not disarmed those groups, which he did not name, Abbas said that "They all have respected the pacification, and they understand that peace, stability and security are useful to everybody."
