The Palestinian Cabinet on Tuesday recommended withdrawing recognition of the Greek Orthodox patriarch in Jerusalem, a senior official said, after Jordan called for dismissal of the church leader for his
role in a contentious land deal.
"We are in full coordination with the Jordanians," the Palestinian official said, speaking on condition of
anonymity. He said the decision would have to be endorsed by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, who was traveling in South America. (AP)
